The phrase “Peri Ideon” was written by Aristotle, and translates loosely to “On Ideas.” Ideon is a visionary braintrust for strategic branding ideas and creating competitive advantage. ANDREA KATZ

Andrea is Ideon’s chief Ideonista—a senior marketer with a love for ideas who has worked on a variety of major brands—Virgin Atlantic Airlines, Pearson, Fiat, Hitachi, D’Agostino Supermarkets and Accion—and for many agencies—Agency.com, BBDO, Fleishman Hillard, Interbrand and RLM Finsbury. She has created smart, bold and fresh strategic branding and enriched marketing  engagement with global impact across multiple industries. Andrea is from Johannesburg. She received her BA in history and politics from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa and her MS in Urban Planning from Columbia University.

+ MARTYN STRAW
Martyn is Ideon’s Brand Cardinal—an executive brander with 25 years in high-level strategic planning functions in advertising, corporate identity and client organizations—as Chief Strategy Officer at Ogilvy, Lowe, BBDO, Endeavor, and President, CEO of Interbrand US, the leading global branding firm. He has worked on global brands including Mercedes Benz, BMW, Pepsi, Coca Cola, Citibank, Cigna, Product Red with Bono/American Express and GE Imagination and “Ecomagination.” Martyn is from the United Kingdom. He received his MA in English Literature from Oxford University.
+ CORY HINES
Cory is Ideon’s Brand Synchronista—a senior implementation specialist with 24 years experience defining and directing of transitional strategy. Cory is expert at aligning organizations and stakeholders for smooth, effective transitions of all kinds, for brands and clients including Aetna, American Red Cross, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Great Barrington’s Council on Aging and the Berkshires Economic Development Corporation. Cory is from New York. She received her BA in Psychology from SUNY Stonybrook and her MS in Psychological Counseling from the Bank Street College of Education.
+ JANE FISCHER
Jane is Ideon’s Commandista—a junior brander and project manager, with a special interest in media, image and brand identity challenges. She has worked across various areas of brand development and marketing for nonprofit fundraisers, corporate communications agencies, and public relations events in art, design and music—for RLM Finsbury, Nightowl Media and the Solomon Guggenheim R. Museum. Jane is from New York. She received her AB in Art History and Italian from Wellesley College.
+ DAVID MILES
David is Ideon’s Verbalista—a senior writer with 20 years in brand voice, naming, strategy copy and online advertising, using a comprehensive verbal perspective so every brand speaks clearly. With a love for foreign languages and travel, David has worked on a wide variety of brands including BlackBerry, Bank of America, Glade, Masterfoods, OgilvyAction!, MRM Worldwide and Unilever creating names, campaigns and messages that resonate worldwide. David is from Chicago. He received his BSLA in Japanese and Business Management from Georgetown University, speaks Japanese and Italian, and has studied Latin, Sanskrit, Dutch and French.
+ LOID DER
Loid is Ideon’s Creativista—a creative director specializing in developing comprehensive brand identities and brand systems. Previously, Loid worked at Interbrand, and has over fifteen years of experience creating strategic brand solutions, from corporate identities, annual reports, collateral systems, to interactive design, environmental and packaging design. He was directly responsible for creating the brand identities for AT&T, Xerox, Vivendi Universal and The Nelson Mandela Foundation. Other clients include Samsung, Citibank, MasterCard, CNN, Columbia Pictures, CBS, Sony, Disney, Coca-Cola and Reebok. Loid is from Los Angeles and studied communication design at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California.
+ JANET KIM
Janet is Ideon’s Media Maverick—a senior communications expert, with a special interest in storytelling and its continual evolution. She has 8 years  experience executing internal and external communications campaigns for Fortune 100 brands–including Citigroup, UnitedHealthcare and A&P–during times of great transition and opportunity. Janet has produced story segments for WNYC’s The Brian Lehrer Show and serves as story coach for The Moth, the acclaimed storytelling nonprofit. Janet is from New York. She received her BA in English from Yale University.
+ SHELLY CLARK
Shelly is Ideon’s Research Insighter—a research analyst with 10 years of qualitative and quantitative research, including methodology selection, implementation, statistical analysis and reporting. Guided by her natural curiosity to figure out the “why” behind the data, Shelly has worked on renowned brands including Cadbury-Schweppes, LVMH, United Airlines, Guinness and Sharp. Shelly is from Virgina Beach. She received her BA in history and political science from Christopher Newport University, and is fluent in German.
+ AMBER REILLY
Amber is Ideon’s Research Analysta—a junior research analyst, with a focus on research design and methodology selection, results tabulation, reporting and focus group moderation. With a love for qualitative and quantitative research and attention to detail, Amber has worked on successful brands including MetLife, Virgin Atlantic, Pearson Education, Electrolux and Allstate. Amber is from Virgina Beach. She received her BA in Psychology, with a focus on Experimental Methods, from Christopher Newport University.
+ THE STUDIO OF JOSHUA LEVI
The Studio of Joshua Levi is a DesignStudio for Ideon, specializing in identities, systems, and editorial work. Joshua has has worked with a range of brands and organizations around the globe including United Colors of Benetton, The Council on Foreign Relations, Verizon, GE, Panasonic, Samsung, The PGA, IEG, The Paley Center for Media and The World Health Organization and Ideon among others. He received his BFA in Graphic Design from Western Michigan University with coursework in The Hague and HGK Basel School of Design, Switzerland. He is currently studying type design at Cooper Union.

Objective Subject is a DesignOffice for Ideon that specializes in identities, systems and interactive media. We guide a wide range of clients to meet their business objectives with simple and provocative solutions. We are a nimble team of professionals with experience in graphic design for web development. For clients in every industry and of every size—such as the Council on Foreign Relations, General Electric, Hewlett-Packard, Avaya and Ideon—Objective Subject realizes big ideas and tackles interesting challenges anywhere you can put—or remove—type, color or image. This includes, but is not limited to: brand identity, the web, printed matter, buildings, publications, trucks, spaces and devices.
